MAN UP n' Cook 2019, Orlando's sixth annual Father's Day Cook-Off Celebration aims to expose vulnerable youth to a wealth of resources and positive male role models on Saturday, June 8th from 11a.m. to 2p.m., located outdoors at Washington Shores Elementary.
Our signature fundraising event is becoming Central Florida's premier youth and family centric festival; where the food is the feature and mentors working alongside their mentees in the spirit of teamwork are the focus.
Past year's highlights included our first youth chef and our first two time winner--local firefighter, Emanuel "Manny" Washington of the City of Orlando's Fire Department featured on FOX Network's "MasterChef."
Foodies from all ages indulged in more than 20 menu items like Texas-style brisket, homemade macaroni n' cheese, roasted corn salad and pistachio cake. Savory barbecue and an array of mouthwatering side dishes were served, complemented by music and exciting activities for the entire family to enjoy.
You can satisfy your appetite with the purchase of a $10 wristband on day of the event or in advance at eventbrite. Please note the wristband permits one visit per booth.
The Youth Café will provide a free meal to youth ages 12 and under.
