Stanley Murray is the Senior Pastor of Mt. Zion Tabernacle Christian Church. He received his ministerial license while serving as a minister at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor G. Christopher Clark. He also served as a minister at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Rollie Murray Jr.
Pastor Murray is a past Graduate Chapter President of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated of Metro Orlando and currently volunteers as a Fraternity Chaplin. He is affiliated with WOKB 1680AM radio and social media platforms where he preaches weekly on Monday nights and as the adjunct co-host of the Lady D "Christian Youth Forum."
For 16 years, Pastor Murray has served as the CEO & Founder of the WASSUP Family Mentoring Program where more than 300 families have received services and resources in the Central Florida area.
In addition to all his pastoral responsibilities, Pastor Murray also volunteers as an adjunct preacher/teacher for the Central Florida Salvation Army, Job Partnerships of Central Florida, and the Orlando Union Rescue Mission. Pastor Murray is a recipient of the YMCA Achievers Award Winner and alumni. He is also a recipient of The Dr. John T. Washington Community Service Award from the University of Central Florida.
He is also a retired Gulf and Iraq war veteran of 22 years in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserves where he worked as a police supervisor and instructor of Police Patrol, Defense, and Response Tactics. He also worked as a subject matter expert in Anti-Terrorism Countermeasure Techniques aboard US Naval warships and bases with the humble opportunity to teach abroad.
Currently, Pastor Murray is a 19-year veteran of the Orange County Sheriff's Office where he is assigned to the Patrol Command Staff of South Orange County as the Assistant Supervisor of Crime Prevention Techniques. He is also assigned as the Lead Coordinator for the Sheriff's Office Chaplains Program. Pastor Murray has experience as a high school resource officer, state certified law enforcement instructor, and field training officer.
He holds his degree studies in Criminal Justice and Theology. Currently he is working on his Masters of Theological Studies Program at International Seminary where he was officially ordained.
As he fulfills God's calling to become the founding pastor of the Mt. Zion Tabernacle Christian Church, Pastor Murray gives credit to his mother Evangelist Mary Lee Thomas McMillion for her anointed Pentecostal Leadership, along with family and friends who believed in him, even when he did not believe in himself.
Pastor Murray is married to the beautiful Tameka Murray, and they share three children. His favorite quote is, "Who did you help today?"
